Dear Adam & Aimee, I am from Charlotte and used to go to Elevation and from that, I learned about Ferris and Wade's twin girls when they announced they had been born early and to keep them in our prayers. Through the blog Ferris kept about the girls, I found your blog about Kayleigh and I know you probably get a ton of people sharing how she impacted them, but I really believe she touched me the most as far as strangers go. I was sixteen or seventeen when I first read through what was happening and I cried. At the time I think she was about to undergo her open heart surgery and I was in awe that doctors' would be capable of performing such a daunting task on such a tiny person. On May 7th, we celebrated Kayleigh's life by having our second annual balloon release here in Wilmington, NC. It was how we describe Kayleigh as Amazing! Friends and family came out and we shared a special time together with tears flowing and hearts bursting with love. It was a special moment for Aimee and I to have everyone there supporting us through this tough week. Kayleigh has touched so many hearts and she continues to amaze us day by day even though she is up in Heaven. She is sending so much love down to us and it shows through the new friends we have made along the way. Thank you everyone who came out to spend this special day with us. You all mean the world to us and we couldn't be happier to have you all in our lives. Thank you!

Yesterday was a day that I will never forget. I had the opportunity to share Kayleigh with one of my best friends who never got to physically meet Kayleigh, never got to physically hold Kayleigh, but has now truly gotten the chance to feel Kayleigh in his heart more than he ever has before. Bo Dean is just one phenomenal guy who took the time to travel to Charlotte with me to walk in the March of Dimes walk with my family and then visit some of the Dr's and Nurses who took special care of Kayleigh at the hospital. He was able to see first hand the lives that Kayleigh had and continues to touch. As I read his post this morning, I couldn't recreate in words what a special day yesterday was any better than the amazing words expressed from his heart.
